If you like flicking through channels the old-fashioned way, TiviMate is going to feel like home. It turns your Dino IPTV subscription into a proper TV guide, with a grid you scroll through just like cable used to be. This guide gets you from a fresh install to watching in about ten minutes.
- TimeAbout 10 minutes
- DifficultyEasy
- Works onFire TV, Android TV, Google TV
Before you begin
- Your Dino IPTV welcome email with the server address, username and password.
- A TV device that runs Android: an Android TV or Google TV set or box, or an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
- A steady connection. Wired is ideal; 5 GHz Wi-Fi is fine.
Check your deviceTiviMate is made for TV devices running Android. It isn’t designed for phones, and there’s no version for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung or LG TVs. If that’s your setup, IPTV Smarters Pro may suit you better.
Step 1: Install TiviMate
On Android TV or Google TV: open the Google Play Store on the TV, search for TiviMate and choose Install. Google has a short guide on installing apps on Google TV if your menus look different.
On a Fire TV Stick: TiviMate installs through the Downloader app. Our Fire TV Stick guide covers that in four short parts.
Step 2: Add Dino IPTV as a playlist
The first time TiviMate opens, it asks you to add a playlist. That’s simply your Dino IPTV subscription.
- Choose Add playlist.
- Pick Xtream Codes as the type.
- Enter the server address from your welcome email, exactly as written, starting with
http://orhttps://. - Enter your username and password, then choose Next.
- TiviMate checks your login and counts your channels, movies and series. Choose Next again.
- Name the playlist Dino IPTV and choose Done.
Why Xtream Codes?TiviMate also accepts an M3U link, but Xtream Codes is the better pick: it brings in the TV guide and the on-demand library without any extra setup.
Step 3: Let the guide fill in
Right after setup the guide can look empty. Don’t worry. TiviMate downloads several days of listings for every channel in the background, and that takes a few minutes the first time.
If it’s still blank after ten minutes, open Settings, then EPG, and choose Update EPG.
Free or Premium?
You don’t need to pay TiviMate anything to watch Dino IPTV. The free version plays every channel. TiviMate Premium is sold by TiviMate’s developer, not by us, and adds things like favourites, catch-up, recording and multiple playlists. If you end up loving the app, it’s worth a look. If not, the free version does the job.
Good to knowPremium is a separate purchase from TiviMate, so Dino IPTV can’t refund it. Our Refund Policy covers your Dino IPTV plan only.
Make it yours
- Hide what you don’t watch. Long-press a channel group and hide it. A shorter guide is a faster guide.
- Set your time zone. If programmes appear at odd times, fix the time zone in Settings and the guide lines up again.
- Bump the buffer. On a patchy connection, raise the buffer size in Playback settings. Changing channels takes a second longer, but the picture holds steady.
Quick fixes
TiviMate says it can’t load the playlist
Re-enter the server address carefully. A missing http://, a stray space or a typo in the username are the usual causes. If all three are right, check that your plan hasn’t ended; Dino IPTV plans don’t renew by themselves.
The guide is empty for some channels
Run Update EPG and give it a few minutes. Listings arrive channel by channel, so some fill in before others.
The picture freezes during big matches
Restart the router and the TV device, and use a cable if you can. Check your speed at Fast.com; you want at least 25 Mbps for HD.
